Sun – Burned Cliffs
This painting was inspired by the Maltese coastline and the way the light burns into the rock and sea. Was capturing the heat, the wind and the movement of colour along the cliffs. Also allowed myself a little influence from Van Gogh in the way I laid the colours onto the paper - using energetic strokes and letting the colours live and vibrate rather than blending them too quietly. A piece that captures light, texture and the wild beauty of Malta's edge.
