This painting was one of the most challenging—and most personal—I’ve ever created ❤️ I painted it during my own transition into a new house, while listening to Hans Zimmer’s Gladiator soundtrack on repeat.
The story of the Gladiator returning home, only to find things not as he hoped, deeply moved me. We all experience moments of disappointment and loss in life, and this painting carries those emotions within it.
I’m especially happy that it went to a collector who is a Gladiator fan and fell in love with those golden fields 🌾
