A charming little restaurant and coffee shop in Strait Street, Valletta, opened a few years ago with the aim of providing artists a space to showcase their work to visitors.
In March 2023, I had the opportunity to exhibit my work there for two whole weeks. I created 15 unique Artography pieces—an artistic fusion of photography and painting—specifically for this exhibition. Using two models, I crafted visual narratives by first conducting a photoshoot, then printing the images in monochrome. Once printed, I hand-painted over them, adding the final touches to bring out the emotions and stories I wanted to convey. It was an intimate and deeply personal project.
